Breaking the Interface - API Versioning with REST, JSON and Swagger

One of the main reasons why the Service Oriented Architecture failed was versioning. It was almost impossible to change a Web Service operation without breaking clients. To create a new version of an interface was expensive and cumbersome.

REST is different. APIs tend to be much more extensible. Many REST APIs have evolved over years without breaking a single client. In this session you will learn how to change an API without breaking the interface. You will also learn which changes may be harmful and which changes are safe.
