POST or PUT? Why REST is complicated and overhyped

At first glance REST appears to be simple. Everybody can use or create a REST API. No need for sophisticated languages like Java, a compiler or code generator. But the longer you work with REST the more questions arise: POST or PUT, a slash at the end or how to model process resources?

In this session you will get to know the 5 shortcomings of REST and why hypermedia will never come to the rescue.
